No. You can browse tutor profiles and view their subjects, languages, ratings, and hourly rates without creating an account. An account is required when you want to book a session.

Tutelee covers Primary 1 through University and adult learning. Tutors specify the levels they teach on their profile, so you can filter by your child's exact level.

Use the search filters on the Find Tutors page to narrow by subject, teaching language, level, availability, and price range. Each tutor profile shows credentials, rated reviews, and a full bio so you can make an informed choice.

Find a tutor you like, select a date and time from their available slots, choose a session length (1hr, 1.5hrs, or 2hrs), add an optional note, and pay securely. Funds are held in escrow until the session is delivered.

Yes. Cancellations and reschedules made more than 24 hours before the session are free and fully refunded. Within the 24-hour window, cancellation policies are at the tutor's discretion and shown on their profile.

If a tutor cancels a confirmed booking, you receive a full refund immediately. We also flag the cancellation on the tutor's profile so other families can make informed decisions.

No. All sessions run directly in your browser, no app or plugin required. We support all modern browsers on desktop and mobile. You'll need a working camera and microphone.

Tutors set their own hourly rates, typically $15–$75/hour. Learners pay no additional platform or booking fees, so the rate on the tutor's profile is exactly what you pay.

When you book a session, your payment is held securely, not paid to the tutor yet. Once the session is delivered and the 24-hour dispute window closes without issue, the funds are released to the tutor.

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

No. Tutelee is pay-per-session. There are no monthly subscriptions, minimum commitments, or membership fees.

Every tutor completes a multi-step verification: identity checks, credential verification, and a background screening. Only tutors who pass all stages can accept bookings. No exceptions.

Yes. Every session is automatically recorded and stored securely in your account. Parents and learners can replay sessions at any time. Recordings are never shared without explicit consent.

You have a 24-hour dispute window after every session. Raise a dispute through your dashboard and our support team will review the recording. If the session didn't meet our standards, you'll receive a full refund.

All tutors working with minors undergo enhanced background screening. Sessions involving under-18s can be monitored by parents through the session recording feature. We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct.

Click "Join our network" and complete the tutor application. Provide your credentials, teaching languages, subject expertise, and complete identity verification. Once approved (usually within 48 hours), set your own rates and start accepting bookings.

Session funds in escrow are released after the 24-hour dispute window closes. Tutors receive weekly payouts to their registered bank account. All earnings are tracked in your tutor dashboard.

Yes. Tutors can list multiple subjects and teaching languages on their profile. Students can find you through any subject or language you list.
